I have a Archer C50 which I installed to try and rectify a case of overloading my 2.4 band ..unfortunately it has not used the problem ..I have now bought a cheap mesh system Mercury ac1200 which I have been told is by Tp link , what I want to know is can I use it as a acces point and add it to my mesh system to boost my WiFi system to my mancave thanks

HW is the hardware version of your device. See my first post for details how to determine which one is it.
If you can't run a cable to the C50, then you can try the following:
If you have an operation mode Range Extender (HW v6), you could try to extend your mesh wireless coverage - Chapter 6 in C50 user guide:
If you have a HW v4 or below you could try using the WDS Bridging to extend your mesh wireless coverage - FAQ/Q4 in C50 user guide:

@ukmartian hi again , I have got my mesh system it is a mercusys Halo S12 which I believe is by TP Link ..if not ignore this , my question is can I assign a seperate ssid for the 2.4 and 5ghz bands, I have done this on my modem , it makes it easier to log smart devices onto the network as they only work on 2.4 mhz this avoids logging in a turning off the 5ghtz band everytime if I want to reinnitialise or install a new plug thanks ..

@terziyski many thanks that is the same as the router, It means I also can use the same ssids and passwords meaning I won't have to re install or relogin my plugs etc....will I only have to do this to the master or all off them
Many thanks..brilliant and helpful forum

You'll know that when you set the same SSID and password and observe if the plugs are re-connecting successfully.
If they don't, then you have to re-add them, because depending on the smart device type, it could be bound to the wireless router MAC address as well.

@terziyski hopefully they will...the did when I changed from the VM hub 3 router to the TP LINK but that is another reason why I am separating the bands if a combined you have to go into setting and turn off the 5 when separate it seem ok...so far thanks for the feedback..i will install everything when I get a quiet few minutes...
