Extender locks out broadband

I have installed a TL-WA730RE Extender into my home. Everything appears to be functioning (correct lights are showing). I have a problem that when the Extender is on we lose all broadband connectivity from the the BT Home Hub. As soon as I power the Extender down we get connectivity through the BT Hub.
Can you advise as to how to rectify the problem, with my limited experience my assumption is that I have a conflict between the Home Hub and the Extender
