xbox can't see my TD-VG3631 media server

Hi - for some reason I can't get my xbox 360 to see my TP-Link media server. I can see the media server from my laptop - and can also play movies no problem - however my xbox can't see it at all.
My xbox is connected via direct ethernet cable to the VG3631.
Does anyone know what to do to make it work? I suspect this is an xbox issue.
