I understand that the repeater mode on TL-WR700N works the same as the range extender mode on TL-WA850RE, except the difference of wireless speed. What is attractive on TL-WR700N is that it is a multi-functional wireless devices, namely, you can use it in wireless router mode, repeater mode, AP mode, etc; while the TL-WA850RE just has one working mode, that is range extender.
