I have a unique problem. Just today i bought a TP link modem + wireless router for ADSL for my home. I want to operate many devices through it around the house.

One of them is my lenovo ideapad laptop which i need to use in a different room from the router. I can see the wireless connection on my laptop ( fair to good network strength) but i am unable to connect to it. I am able to connect it with the same laptop when in the same room but not when they are in different rooms.

Also, I am able to connect 2 other laptops even while they are in different rooms and other devices like ipad, iphone, etc.

These are the details of my laptop

Lenovo Ideapad Z570
Windows 7 64 bit
Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
