Hello.
I just bought the Tp-link AP.

I have a router connected to my pc which also gives a wireless signal. The signal is very weak. On my ps3 I get around 25% so it's very unstable.
Should I use the repeater mode to have a better signal or the client mode which is indicated as optimal for gaming consoles?

If you use client mode, you can only access internet from TL-WA901ND by a cable.

does your PS3 support wired connection?

Yes, I used it as a repeater because ps3 has a wireless receiver.
Thanks!
Can you check out my other question? Because I'm having trouble with the repeater mode. Here it is:

Use Repeater Mode

Repeater mode

Amplify your signal so that other devices in the room can also pick up signals easily ( future proof)

Since your PS3 has wifi receiver so no cabling hassle on repeater mode :)
