Model: TL-WPA4220
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

Hi There, I have an existing powerline network of three TL-PA4010P adapters to extend my wired connection around the house. They are working just fine. I have now purchased a single wireless adapter (TL-WPA4220) just to extend my wifi in a spare bedroom. I was under the impression these adapters are compatible with each other. However, I have tried everything possible but I am unable to get the powerline LED to activate on the new adapter. Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong??

@BobbyBunny Finally figured it out.......... Once the TL-WPA4220 is plugged in and powered up, press and hold the wifi button to switch off the wifi facility. The green wifi LED will go off. Then 'pair' the TL-WPA4220 with one of the existing adapters. Once completed, the powerline LED should then be on. Re-activate the wifi functionality be pressing and holding the wifi button until the green wifi LED is on.......job done!

@BobbyBunny

Hi

I have exactly the same problem with TL-WPA220 just bought, that I'm trying to pair with my existing TL-PA4010P. You suggest to push and hold the wifi button, but what do you mean with wifi button? You mean the pairing button? Otherwise, I can't see a WiFi button on my device.

Thanks for your help

F

@FDemi Look at the front of the device at the green wifi LED. Carefully run your finger across the front of it and you will feel a slightly raised edge. That is the button. Not the pairing button on the underside.
