USB issues with Archer C6U
There are 2 issues that I am facing with the USB drive. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
1. Firstly the files on the USB is cached (not sure of the interval of caching)
Steps to reproduce
- Connect a USB pendrive to the USB port
- Copy any file to the drive using wifi
- Try accessing the file from another device connected to wifi
Actual result: File is not accessible
Expected result: File should be accessible
2. USB drive configured as a network drive on a windows laptop is intermittently accessible
Steps to reproduce
- Connect a USB pendrive to the USB port
- Configure a network port on a windows laptop
- Try accessing it immediately, and it will be accessible
- Try accessing after approx an hour or so, it will be inaccessible sometimes.
- However, media server will be available always
Actual result: Network drive goes to sleep intermittently
Expected result: There should either be a setting for network drive to be sleep mode or it should be available always
Configurations:
Access methods enabled - Network Neighborhood, FTP
Sharing contents - No change from default when a pendrive is connected
Access Authentication - Off
Enable media sharing - On
Wifi enabled - 2.4 and 5 Ghz with different SSID
Access control - On with Access mode set to Whitelist
