Model: Archer AX1500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20210513 Rel. 79745(4555)

Hi, i have a TP-Link router AX1500  with hardware version Archer AX10 v1.20,

I have on  the DHCP server  IP Address Pool set from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200 .

When i try to set on the VPN Server the PPTP Client IP Address for example between 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.15 (or anywhere else in the DHCP free pool from 192.168.1.0/24 subnet ) i get the error message:

The client IP address conflicts with the DHCP IP address pool.

Because i can`t assign for the PPTP clients the IP adresses from the 192.168.1.0/24  subnet, the PPTP clients will not be able to access the LAN devices over the VPN connection .

Thanks !

Thanks for you answer, i follow your recommended configuration guide and now  the PPTP clients   can access the remote LAN. The issue was caused because on the PPTP client it was unchecked  the  option " Use default gateway on the remote network  "  from advanced TCP/IP settings

Still, why the error message  is " The client IP address conflicts with the DHCP IP address pool. ", when in fact is not conflicting  ?  It is mandatory that the PPTP Client IP adress to be outside the LAN address subnet ?

Anyway, thanks for help !

@Tapsanu

Yes, the reason for the error message " The client IP address conflicts with the DHCP IP address pool. " is that the PPTP client IP address shouldn't be in the LAN subnet.

@Tapsanu

In this case the correct error message should be something like :

The client IP address conflicts with the LAN address pool.

Thanks for your help !
