Model: Archer T4U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi,

recently I purchased Archer T4U Plus (AC1300) V1 adapter and have some problems with it out of the box.

I installed my Archer T4U Plus to Win7, set it in 2.4GHz network.

Just after connection everything is alright, on Speedtest I get 40 Mbps.

After 5-10 minutes of usage speed drops by more than 10 times, Speedtest shows 2-3 Mbps. It never gets back to higher values until I disable and enable the adapter.

I tried

1) installing two available versions of the driver from the official web page (200821_Win7 and 200608_win7) and another one from this thread

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/509006

2) Changing a USB port (both 2.0 and 3.0)

3) Setting power management so that the system cannot disable the device.

Nothing changed.

I have an older TP-Link adapter T4UH (white one with 2 antennas), which I was using for years, and there is no such issue with it.

Can my new T4U Plus be faulty from the hardware side? Should I replace it?
