It's the AV600 powerline adapters. (models in drop down menu were for routers?)

We have thick concrete floors so wifi upstairs is poor.

I wanted to simply have 1 powerline adapter plugged in downstairs with the modem and the other upstairs to send out wifi.

This is what is currently happening, however I was expending it to simply extend the wifi that's already set up in my home. It's a pain to have to remember to switch wifi everytime we go up and ddown the stairs.

Did I purchase the wrong device or is there a way to change settings to make it so my whole house is 1 wifi.

Thanks!

Nevermind, sorted it. Go into the change the wifi name and password to exactly the same as your original network. That way your devise think its all 1 network and you dont have to swap every time you move around. But i had to click on webconfiguration in the app and do it there.
