I have a query regarding the 2.5GBps LAN port on this router.

I have a Ubuntu PC connected to this port and confirmed the negotiation speed matches to 2.5GBe.

In my testing I was able to verify that over a 1Gb LAN port I get the full 1Gb speed when sharing files from the Ubuntu PC.

At the same time I tried another client connected to the 1Gb LAN port but then the speeds dropped as the LAN devices were sharing.

If I used a Wifi 6 device to copy files to the Ubuntu PC and at the same time with a LAN device also copy files I was able to break past the 1Gb barrier on the Ubuntu PC which I confirmed with iftop.

So I guess my question is the maximum speed achieved by the 2.5GBps LAN port can only be obtained when using WiFi 6 in conjuction with a LAN device.

Is this intended behaviour?
