Archer AX55 vs AX53 vs C80 vs A8
Hello,
I am in the process of changing my home network devices and I am in need of a WiFi router that will act as an AP and Range Extender.
You can consider it as:
Internet <--> CPE/Primary WiFi Router <--Ethernet--> Archer <-->WiFi & Ethernet devices
I am totally confused though. I understand that C80 is a WiFi 5 router, and the 2 AX routers are WiFi6 ones, but apart from that what are their main differences?
I have this page: https://www.tp-link.com/en/compare/?typeId=9&productIds=45482%2C52194%2C35242 from which I understand:
- C80/A8 is a single core CPU (possibly the same)
- AX5x are dual core CPUs (unknown speed)
- AX55 has 512MB RAM, no idea about the others!
- C80/A8 clearly support MU-MIMO, no idea about the AX
So, it looks like the AX55 is the better router, however, it's not clear if it's worth the extra money compared to 53 or C80/A8.
Can someone please help on this?
For example if someone can tell me the amount of RAM that is available or the 53 and/or their CPU speeds/cores it would be of great help.
