I have a router with the modem built in.  Should I connect the Deco mesh unit to the WAN or LAN port on the router?

You should connect Main Deco to LAN port of your router.

  @Alexandre.

Thank you for your reply.

Is this also the case if I set the router to Bridge mode (ie, only the modem will be active in the ISP provided router with all routing left to Deco unit)

Yes, it is also the case if you will run ISP router in bridge mode. Main Deco must be connected to LAN port of your router/bridge/modem. In that router mode, only one LAN Ethernet port should be active, and it is often first, but not necessarily. If you connect Main Deco to LAN port of a bridge/modem and have no Internet, either check with ISP which LAN port should be active or just try each of them one by one.
