Deco M4 Packet Loss - Gaming
Deco M4 Packet Loss - Gaming
My issue is that my Deco's have started to display consistent packet loss when I'm gaming. My ping is consistent (~30 - ~40) which is great, but packet loss still occurs. Through numerous tests I've confirmed that it is indeed my Deco M4's. I have a TP-Link WiFi extender that delivers the same ping with no packet loss that I'm using for gaming right now. I want to keep the the mesh WiFi system though since it eliminates dead spots in the upper floor better and the seamless wifi is a nice touch when I'm walking around the house on Facetime. My Deco M4's were great in the beginning. No problems whatsoever. Now I can't even get on a game without losing packets the moment I move my character and I've only had them for a short period of time :/ I saw other threads with the same problem and tried the solutions posted beneath but the issue still occurs with no change. I switched to just 2.4 or 5.0 ghz. I turned off fast roaming and beamforming. I switched the main deco with another deco. I've rebooted the system multiple times and the problems still occurs. My computer is directly connected to my mesh wifi, with a new cat8 cable I bought after thinking the old one was the issue. It seems as though my product is simply failing
sidenote; network congestion is not the issue since I game when no one is awake
