Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210115 Rel.62618n

When trying remote administration of the router via LTE interface I get the result below.

The router seems to deny access to files not located in the root directory.

Administration via WIFI and LAN interfaces is working properly.

Any ideas?

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback. Please confirm the following details:

1. Operation Mode of the MR6400, 3G/4G Router mode or Wireless Router mode

2. WAN IP address on Status page of the MR6400 is public IP address or static IP address

3. You are trying to access the web interface via WAN IP address remotely from a different network, right?

4. Please try to configure a DDNS on the MR6400 such as TP-Link DDNS or No-IP DDNS etc., then try to use the domain name to access it remotely to see if it works.

3G/4G Router mode

2. WAN IP address on Status page of the MR6400 is public IP address or static IP address

It's a static but not public IP address. The ISP uses NAT to translate the public IP address of the SIM card to an internal static address.

3. You are trying to access the web interface via WAN IP address remotely from a different network, right?

Yes.

4. Please try to configure a DDNS on the MR6400 such as TP-Link DDNS or No-IP DDNS etc., then try to use the domain name to access it remotely to see if it works.

DynDNS results in a timeout message.

As you can see on the screenshot, the first GET message was successfull. Thus the routing of the packages between the MR6400 and my browser should be ok.

The reason for the issue is probably, that the internal HTTP server on the MR6400 denies access to the other files in the list.

Hi, since the 4G WAN IP is not a public IP address, are you trying to access the web interface remotely by connecting to another SIM card from same carrier?

Thus the PC/browser and the MR6400 are under the same public IP address?

Besides, if there is any VPN running on the computer, please disconnect the VPN first, and if problem still exists, please send an email to support,forum@tp-link.com with Subject Forum ID 582232 and provide the following information:

1. ISP, network topology with IP address

2. Screenshots of DDNS Settings page and Remote Management settings page

Hi, I double checked with a router from a different manufacturer. Same SIM card, same settings, remote management worked properly.

Thus the source of the issue must be located in the MR6400, an invalid setting or a firmware bug.
