Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

Hi my actual setup is a 3 P9 connected via Ethernet back haul and set as Router mode, I have 500mbps speed, have tested connected to the ISP router and tops about 490mpbs, also have disabled the ISP router WiFi to avoid interferences.  My P9 Mesh tops at 250mbps almost anywhere, and via WiFi connection and Ethernet connection.

What could be capping my speed? configuration? whats the difference between Router or Access Point mode? could change this improve top speed? any other settings could prevent to reach higher speeds?

I now theoretical speed and actual WiFi speed wont be 100%, but i expect higher speed.

thanks

For troubleshooting purposes: power off all Satellite Deco, leaving just Main Deco running. Turn off 2.4GHz on Main Network:

Position device you run speed tests on about 1-2 meters (3-6 feet) away from Main Deco. Run speed tests again. That will give you maximum WiFi speed Main Deco can deliver in Router mode.

--------

Second test: leave previous setup, but also configure Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode: How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Repeat speed tests same as previous time. That will give you maximum WiFi speed Main Deco can possibly deliver in your environment.

--------

If you have no preferences, with Main Deco connected to an ISP router, I would recommend running Deco mesh in Access Point mode. See What’s the difference between Access Point mode and Router mode on the Deco?
