Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210803 Rel.55933n

Hi there.

I would like to setup two LTE routers to link two home WAN's.

Router 1 is an MR6400 firmware 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210803 Rel.55933n

Router 2 is an MR600 firmware is 1.4.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 211018 Rel.69149n

I had to install beta firmware as per https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/251514 so that I could get Ipsec back, (no ipsec on current firmwhere)

I setup both sides as per https://www.tp-link.com/za/support/faq/1661/

I have tried using tp link ddns cloud link as well as the actual IP addresses of each router.

Ipsec pass through is enabled but unsure if I need to open any ports.

No joy, both routers show "down" in the ipsec link page.

Any assistance most appreciated

Brent

  @Citizen_Brent

Hi, may I know if both routers are working on 3G/4G Router mode? and please check the WAN IP address of both of on Advanced->Status->Internet part to see if they are public IP address or private IP address.

In addition, for the MR6400 V5.20, please try to reinstall the firmware 210803, you could download the firmware from our official website:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/tl-mr6400/#Firmware

After that, if check if problem still exists.
