Hi.

My internet connection is 300MB. I had a TPLINK WDR3600 for many years and everything worked great, lately I wasn't getting 300MB on WIFI mode... so I said, I will upgrade the router because soon I will change my internet connection to 500MB... so I do 2 steps in 1.

Now I bought TPLINK Archer AX55.

I connected my computer on LAN port 1 and another one on LAN2, the rest is via WIFI...

I do the TEST using speedtest.net and on WIFI im getting 300MB, perfect, but on LAN Im getting 100MB...

On the router I was looking on the Ethernet Status and it says:

I was thinking that Im not getting the 300MB because the configuration it is on 100Mbps (LAN1) or it dosn't matter that ?

How do I change that? Or directly, how do I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

P.D: My internet without the router is giving 300MB directly connected the modem to the computer.

You've correctly found the reason for this issue - the negotiated bandwidth of the PC1 and PC2.

What you can do is to use ports LAN3 and LAN4 for those PCs and check again the negotiated bandwidth.

If they are still on 100Mbps then use another good Cat5E/6 ethernet cables to connect the PCs to the AX55.

Thanks for the answer, I was thinking maybe it could be the cable... but its strange that with the other router that I just changed... was running on 300mb on lan.. with the cable that Im using now...

I understand your point, but this is about a combination between the physical characteristics of the router's LAN port and the cables's RG45. That's why I suggested this workaround. Just try to use AX55's LAN3 and LAN4 for the PCs if you don't have a spare cables with you right now.
