Model: Deco
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20210121 Rel. 54042

Hi,

I have a problem with my mesh system. I'm not close to the internet speed I have into the house. I have 1000/1000 Mbit. When measured internet speed via Deco app and also from other webpages earlier this week I had +900/+900 Mbit. All fine and everybody happy :-). Today I have +90/+90 Mbit when measuring. I have done no changes in the setup or what so ever. How come I have max 100/100 Mbit today? Is there a limitation in the setup? Any firmware update who creates this (bug)?

I spoke with ISP earlier today and they confirmed that I had 1024 Mbit to the switch (or the name of the product). He could also see that I had TP-Link and it worked with only 100 Mbit... As there are no issue from their side, they can't help me.

Is there any person out here how can help me and explain for me how to solve it? It creates a lot frustration.

Thanks in advance!

If ISP Support can see that you have TP-Link device connected to their ISP Router, with 100Mbps, that means your router can report devices connected to it and can report negotiated speed of connection.

That also makes Ethernet cable which connects Main Deco to ISP Router the prime suspect. Main Deco auto negotiates speed of Ethernet link. If everything is right, the link should be 1000/1000. There are no configuration settings to downgrade that speed to 100/100.

My suggestion would be to unplug both ends of Ethernet cable connecting Main Deco to ISP Router, then plug them back and make sure they plugged all the way (no wiggling, can't pull out easily). If that does not fix the issue, try different Ethernet cable.

Also, check your Router documentation, find where it reports devices connected to it and speed of connection, so that you can check this info by yourself when logging to router Web management interface. Will save you time waiting on hold for ISP Support to check that for you.

With the good Ethernet cable linking Main Deco to ISP Router, your ISP Router should report 1000/1000 for Main Deco connected to it.

  @Alexandre.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.

I did what you suggested unplug/plug in ethernet cables and now it works again.

I feel embarrassed, that i should I have checked from the beginning!

Thanks any way and have nice day!
