Deco x90 config and control
Hello,
I recently set up a Deco network and have some questions about its functionality and configuration. I appreciate any help you can provide.
My network consists of 3 Deco X20s and 4 Deco X90s, with one of the X90s acting as the main controller. All devices are operating as access points (APs) and utilize Ethernet cables for backhaul connections.
1. I have been using the TP-Link Deco app to manage the network. However, since adding the X90 as the main controller, I've been unable to access my network through the mobile app when not connected to my Wi-Fi. Previously, when I only had the X20s or before a certain update, I could access the network remotely over the internet. Is this normal behavior or should I be concerned?
2. Additionally, I would like to know if there are any other configuration options beyond those available through the web interface (main Deco web page) and the mobile app.
3. Regarding network traffic, do all data pass through the main Deco device, or is it routed directly to the router using the backhaul? In other words, does CPU of the main's Deco handle the majority of the load?
4. When connecting Ethernet cables for backhaul, which RJ-45 port should I use on the Deco devices? Can I use any of the two ports available?
5. Lastly, is there a way to maintain internet access in the event the main Deco controller goes offline?
I greatly appreciate any assistance and answers to my questions. Thank you in advance.
