hi all,

I've got some issue configuring the router for internet connection .

ISP is Fibra.city, italy.

all was working fine for 1 year, then suddenly I lost internet connection. connection LED is on, fixed, green, but no internet traffic.

ISP says that they are able to see the connected device.

I've re-configured the modem as required:

IP, Subnetmask, Gateway, DNS Pr, DNS Sec. and VLAN in the quick setup.

(it works with static IP, not with a dynamic one)

I've re-contacted ISP and they asked me to configure VLAN100 in the IPTV menu and activate the 802.1Q. this last step is a kind of complicated because I cannot find this parameter in the configuration menu.

How hsould I abilitate it? do you have any idea of what else I may need to check?

thank you

Alessandro

  @Sunshine

thank you!

actually today the connection miracously restarted. I would say that the problem was on the ISP provider then.

I include anyway the configuration should it be useful for anyone else and should you see anything wrong.

connection is VDSL, static IP, FFTC,

thank you for the support!

Hi, 802.1Q usually means the VLAN Tagging, and it should be enough to configure VLAN ID.

In addition, are you using Static IP as the WAN connection type?

If it still doesn't connect to the internet, please let us know the type of your line like ADSL or VDSL, and what the WAN connection type is such as PPPoE, Dynamic IP etc. they should be given by your ISP.

By the way, please share with us screenshots of the whole Advanced->status page and Advanced->Network->Internet page, along with the LED status of your VR300 especially the DSL and Internet LEDs.
