In real world 40mhz channel not make any sense IoT device keep disconnecting over the time at most 3 hour, say thanks to background noise. Deco currently broadcast 40mhz channel for communication by default, but the connection issue automatically solve's until deco assign 20mhz on 2.4ghz band. The device which even not able to ping ever 2m apart on 40mhz connection now able to show tremendous stability over 14m on 20mhz connection with at least 80 hour without WiFi drop. I'm not going to request manual channel selection instead i'm request to width selection.
