OneMesh with VR2100v and RE330 not working

Model: Archer VR2100v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.14.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 220719 Rel.61012n

No matter what I do, I cannot get OneMesh working with my VR2100v and RE330. I have tried Firmware RE330-V1_220805 (OneMesh) and RE330-V1_230418 (EasyMesh) on the RE330. What should I do to get OneMesh work?

Any chance VR2100v will get EasyMesh update?

Currently only extending via RE330 with same SSID as VR2100v's works but I don't want the additional RE330's DHCP server.

Hello, what is the error message when you try to join the OneMesh network?

Please share with us some screenshots.

In addition, even though no OneMesh created, you could also disable DHCP Server on the extender:

 Hello  @Sunshine,

when adding the RE330 with web setup (192.168.0.254) I can see that the VR2100v has 'OpenMesh' capability, however after finalizing and relocating the RE330 it is not recognised as OpenMesh deviceby the VR2100v. There is no extra SSID for RE330 since I chose same SSID as used by the VR2100v. When a device close to the RE330 connects to WiFi, it gets a 192.168.100.200+ address, it seems that this is handled by the RE330 DHCP then. This is not what I want, i want the the VR2100v be the only DHCP server. However, disabling the DHCP on the RE330 seems not to forward requests to the VR2100v.

During setup/connection there is no error reported and all four LEDs are yellow after relocation.

Anyways, I want the 'seamless' extending like promised but it is not working together with the VR2100v, there are 0 mesh devices.

Hi, on the extender client devices, please check the default gateway/router address as well when you check their IP address, if the gateway is VR2100v LAN IP address(192.168.100.1), it means the IP addresses are given by the VR2100v instead of the extender.

Besides, you mentioned that all 4 lights are yellow, please double-check the color since there is no indication of yellow LEDs, maybe they are just white on or green.

If the Signal LED is red, it means the extender receives a poor signal from the router, you need to relocate the extender to make it closer to your router.

Regarding the OneMesh, please login the extender web interface, go to Settings > OneMesh and enable Join OneMesh, then check you will see the OneMesh device on the VR2100v Web interface (Basic > OneMesh page)

Checked that already, when assigned a fixed address in VR2100v the according address is fixed, otherwise IP 192.168.100.200++ are assigned.

Besides, you mentioned that all 4 lights are yellow, please double-check the color since there is no indication of yellow LEDs, maybe they are just white on or green.

If the Signal LED is red, it means the extender receives a poor signal from the router, you need to relocate the extender to make it closer to your router.

I wouldn't describe the LED color as white like the LEDs on the  VR2100v, after looking closely it is more yellow-ish/warmwhite.

Regarding the OneMesh, please login the extender web interface, go to Settings > OneMesh and enable Join OneMesh, then check you will see the OneMesh device on the VR2100v Web interface (Basic > OneMesh page)

That is what I have already tried with both above mentioned firmware version.

Anyways, I have spent enough time now figuring out the problem, the unit is now on the way back to the seller. Thanks for your effort.
