Deco is in Access point mode.

I have all my iot devices connected to the guest network.

The guest devices only connect to the "main deco" which is hard wired to the router.

The 2nd Deco is connected wireless to the main deco.

Even when the signal is very weak the guest devices don't connect to the 2nd Deco which is closer to the guest devices.

How can I solve that the guest devices connect to the closest Deco?

I can't choose a preferred connection for the guest devices.
