Deco Wired + Wireless
Hi,
I'm looking to buy a 3-pack X60/X55/X50 Deco Units for one of my family members house.
They have 1 Ethernet cable that is wired from the first and second floor.
The main unit on the first and the second unit will be connected through Ethernet cable. Can the third unit that will be placed on the first floor connect to the existing network over Wifi while 2 units connected in wired backhaul?

This is possible, as long as it is done correctly. See this FAQ document for more information: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

I've checked the FAQ but i didn't understand why the third node need to connect to the second node which is connected to the main via wifi?
Can it be done like this: Main Deco (Router)>Second Deco (2nd floor, wired)>Third Deco (First Floor Wifi Backhaul)?
My intention is to have The main node on the first floor connected to the second node on the second floor via wired backhaul and to use the third node connected via wifi backhaul in one of the first floor rooms in case the third node will be needed.
Can it work this way?

This will work just fine.
Also note that Third Deco will connect wirelessly to either Main Deco or Second Deco.

Awesome that what i wanted to know.
most important that the main deco and second deco links together wired and the third wireless less important which one it will choose 🙂
Got a bit confused by the picture on the FAQ page.
I'll drop another question if I'm already here, If i use the Main Deco as router (ppoe) it still will transmit wifi signal additional to the nodes right?
