Deco/Tether App

Phenomenon:

Some Deco/Tether App users may notice and receive a "We Noticed a New Login" email from us, like the screenshot below, and might worry about account security.

Suggestions:

The above email notification is due to a login of your account (TP-Link ID) from a device you don't usually use, which triggers the "abnormal login reminder" in the cloud. It is recommended to check whether the account was logged in on your trusted devices.

If you found any abnormal situation with your account, please change the password as soon as possible: Reset the Password of TP-Link ID.

Important steps to improve a cloud account security:

1) Create a strong password with a mix of numbers, letters, and capitals.

2) It's not recommended to use the same password for various accounts or platforms.

3) DO NOT share your account or password with untrusted devices easily.

4) Check and update the Deco/Tether App and ensure it's up-to-date.
