Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 210313 Rel.74106n

Hi All,

Hope someone can help me with the below.

I've just switched from FTTC VDSL to a full FTTP setup using a ONT setup and wanted to use my Archer VR2800 as the ISP router is poor. However on setup it looks like my VR2800 won't handle speeds greater than 300mbps using LAN4/WAN port in Wireless Router Mode??

Is this right and the DSL version is restricted to max 300mbps and will not work with my 1gig connection? or am I just setting it up wrong?

Thanks

Nova

VR2800 supports 1000mbps bandwidth on its LAN ports. Try the following:

There's a newr FW release that you can update manually - download FW from here.

After update you can reset the VR2800 to its factory defaults and then configure in wireless router mode.

Here's a video guide for setting up VR2800 in wireless router mode.

Here's a guide on how to optimize your wireless speed and range.

For better wireless speed it is recommended to use your 5GHz band.
