MA260 - Automatically connect option

Hi Folks,
I have a MA260 working on the Hong Kong 1010 3G network.
The modem is plugged into a computer which needs infrequent, low volume data access. The issue I have is that the modem disconnects from the network after a number of hours. I am not sure if this is the carrier or if it is the application itself.
Is there a way to force the modem to automatically reconnect without being present?
