Situation

I want to forward the traffic from WAN to a particular device on my LAN. For this I tried to enable the DMZ feature from the Advanced > NAT Forwarding menu.

Expected behavior

The settings should take effect without errors. I would be able to reach the configured host from the Internet.

Actual behavior

A warning message appear with this text below:

CWMP Function conflict with the DMZ Host. DMZ Host will fail at cwmp port. Click Yes to continue.

Even if I click on yes, the function does not have the expected effect.

Additional Notes

I've tried so far:

  • I checked for firmware updates, but the current is the latest.
  • I did a factory reset, but same warning comes up.
  • The Remote Management function is disabled.
  • This is not an Archer router. I selected that, becase NX510v is not offered in the model selector and the field is mandatoy.

Does anyone else have the same problem? How can I get this working?

Hi,

NX510v is a model for ISPs only, and we don't have much information about it, and usually ISPs might have default CWMP Settings on the product.

Besides, you could check Internet IPv4 address on the NX510v to see if it is a public IP address or not, if not, it means you are behind CGNAT thus the DMZ will not work, you will need to contact your ISP to check if they could assign you a public IP address.

Hi @Sunshine, Well, I've already turned to my ISP's support channel, but they said that the router is tested for "regular usage" and don't give support beyond that. They suggested to do factory reset or get contact with the manufacturer. Since factory reset did not make a difference, I wrote my post here. I've checked the dynamic IPv4 address I got from ISP, it responds to ping from the Internet, so that should not be a problem. Though I have no idea what CWMP is.

You could go to Advanced > System Tools > CWMP Settings page to see if you can see it and disable it for a test.

  @Sunshine

Unfortunately I don't see such menu there.
