Allow List should be saved. Currently requires reconfiguration every time it is used. This implies that the frequency of changing the allow list is higher than the frequency of using the allow list. This seems way off base, certainly in the home environment. Even if it were changing every time, it would be a much smoother workflow to work from a saved list and make changes (in / out) than having to start again.

Hi, we are unable to check your chat records, do you mean all the access control settings will be lost automatically? it happens after a reboot or any other operation?

Or is there any error message?

Please share with us screenshots of your Access Control settings.

Hi. There is no error message, it just resets everytime I turn access control off/on. In the chat I was told this was expected functionality. Seems wrong.

Hi, when you turn off the access control, the allow list or deny list will be cleared since the function itself is disabled completely, then when you turn back on access control again, you will need to add devices to the list again. If that is what you mean, and yes it is indeed expected behavior.

May I know why you need to turn on/off the access control allow list frequently?

An allow list is the cleanest way of making sure that only our (the parents' devices) are being connected. The alternatives (not-allowed + parental controls) leave gaps for new devices, vpns and any other clever way the kids (or bad guys) can come up with the get onto the network. Allow list works consistently and the allow list does not change frequently.
