Just yesterday the router had lost power. there is power to the socket but i was just wondering if this has happened to others and what trouble shooting steps i need to take. i am going to get a new power cable for it to see if that the issue. other then that what else can i do?

If you have a multimeter device you could measure the power adapter voltage (12V) to check if it's working before buying a new one (12 V ⎓ 5 A).

If the power adapter is not working you can buy a new one. Keep in mind that the problem could be with both power adapter and the router - this happens too.
