Hi Guys
I Have a PC running windows 11
I have to Archer VR2800 set as Wireless Router Mode.

Hardware Version: Archer VR2800 v1 00000000
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 210313 Rel.74106n
The Archer is connected by CAT8 Ethernet cable to
An ONT Openreach Modem that is connected to FTTP.
My ISP is PlusNet, I receive from them 518Mbps.
I seem to have a problem with Router System Tools> Traffic Monitoring.
When I run a Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test.
I get a result of 518Mbps Download and I get 72 Mbps Upload.
When I look in System Tools> Traffic Monitoring.
I see nothing like these results.
On Lan 1 I see 17.5 Megabytes
On pppoe_1_d I see 17.5 Megabytes.
Also, as a side issue, when I swap from advanced mode to Basic
And click on the Speed Test the results are all over the place from 200Mbps to 420Mbps
At the end of the test it shows a result of 410 Mbps Download.
Straight away I do another Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test.
And get a result of Download Speed 518 Mbps, Upload Speed 72 Mbps
Can anyone explain this to me?
Or is the Traffic Monitoring NOT working Properly?
In which case will it ever be fixed?
Is there a Firmware Fix Available ?

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.

The Traffic Monitor is to displays the network traffic usage of an interface in the past 10 minutes, including the received and sent packets, which is not used to test actual internet speed.

As for firmware uprading, please follow this article. Your current firmware seems not to the latest one.

@Marvin_S, Thank you for the Information 
it was well appreciated and for pointing out my Firmware 
was out of date.
I have now updated to the latest version.
0.8.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 220512 Rel.41022n
I had to manually update as the "Check for updates"
was informing me "your firmware is up to date"
Which clearly it was not.
So maybe someone at TP could look at this?

 

When the web interface is open
and I am logged into the router
in Basic mode and I click on Speed Test
I get a speed check of around 434 Mbps and an upload of 71.2Mbps
Where when I run Ookla speed check, and Microsoft speed checks
I get 518 Mbps download and & 72.5 Mbps upload.
So yo can see the upload is more or less correct,
but the download is a long way out.
Any ideas why this may be so?
