Using Sonos with a TP-link

My flat is quite small but for some reason the Wifi won't extend very well and I need a TP link which is working fine. However, my Sonos speakers are on two different Wifis which causes some issues.

One speaker is in the bedroom where the router is, and is on the main Wifi.

The others in the sitting room and kitchen are on the TP link network.

Should I attach all 3 to the TP link or is one being attached to the main Wifi better for the system?

Also, if I change the TP link name to the same Wifi name and password as my Wifi, it doesn't amalgamate the systems, does it? (Forgive me for being dense) The reason I ask is because I saw that you can amend the name of the wifi to your own wifi but in my mind this would be more confusing than useful unless it amalgamates the networks.

Thank you!

There's no need to name the SSIDs the same as on your main router. The purpose of the range extender is to extend your main router wireless coverage.

Once you've configured the range extender successfully (even with a different SSID) the Sonos devices would be in your main router local subnet and they should work as expected.

If you keep the range extender SSIDs different than on your main router you'll always know where your devices are connected at any time.

Thanks very much for your reply. I've plugged one of my speakers into the TP Link which seems to be helping. I think, despite the smallness of my home, I should get another TP link for the kitchen so I don't have to keep skipping between Wifi connections!
