Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.2.11

Hi there I previously had Netgear Orbi routers but I decided to go with TP-Link because of it's great ratings but despite being an IT Architect with a great amount of experience with routers, these ones confuse me.

I normally use a class B 16 bit network and i was able to set that fine, but I cannot set the top ip octets to anything other than 192.168.  Generally that is just considered an appropreiate default IP but since the network is private to me I should be able to set whatever I want  I normally use 10.10 or 6.6 which is a lot easier to type.  How do I change the IP from 192.168?

Also I cannot seem to do anything in the web console at all.  Except for reboot and firmware upgrades, everything is read only.  I don't want to have to use my phone to make all the settings... Is there any way to get a full web console with all the abilities of the app?

Also, in the app things like port forwarding a use daily are relegated way into the advanced menu and it's pretty inconvienent to use.

Are there fixes for any of these things?  I have many devices statically set to 6.6.0.0/16 and it will take a long time for me to log on locally and reset them all.

  @malibu66

TP-Link Deco enforces private IP address ranges for LAN:

  • 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
  • 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
  • 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255

There is no full WebIU for Deco mesh management. You must use Deco app for that, it is by design.
