Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I live in a new building with lots of concrete... I recently replaced my tradtional router + wifi (incl. ethernet over power line) to the Deco X60 - 3 pack (3 floors).

The setup ran reasonibly ok, wifi is established throughout the house, but :

After initial setup (with one main and 2 sattelites), I put one on each floor and each of them is hardwired (utp) into the modem. I was hoping this would work, but it is not giving me the desired result...

the main deco funtions as it should, no problems there; however the one on floor2 will not connect the utp (in the app the symbol remains on a very weak wifi signal) and the one on floor 3 connects perfectly via utp, but keeps going offline (and coming back after a few seconds), so a 'flickering' connection somewhere?

Am i correct in presuming that :

A) the wifi passes from one deco to another (even if a UTP cable is connected)

B) plugging all three into the modem is probably not a good idea (I could buy a little switch to put between the modem and the 2 sattelites)

C) given that my floors are full concrete, could 3 devices be not enough to cover my house

Any advice to get this to work (better than now) is greatly appreciated.

Thx
