Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.13.2

Archer C80 configured as Access Point and Dynamic IP address (DHCP with IP reservation at DHCP Server) has unstable WiFi connections. Using fixed IP adddress fixes that but Archer C80 "thinks" there is no Internet access on the Network Map. In our LAN the DNS traffic is restricted to our local DNS servers. We do not allow DNS traffic to traverse our firewall, hence the need to allow both IP Gateway and DNS server to be defined when using manual IP configuration.

Enhancement Request: IP fixed address should allow both "default gateway" and "DNS Server" configuration to avoid this behavior.

Hi,

The router is designed to determine the network status based on DNS.

Currently, the feature you described cannot be added to the router.

It is normal to have a red light in your situation. But it will not affect your usage.
