Hello.

We would like to use the range extender to only extend the possibility of LAN connection, in order to connect some devices per cable. The range extender is placed relatively close to the router and operates with WLAN and LAN always on.  During operation it was experienced that other users have seen massive internet performance loss or even disconnection.

Is there a way to turn of the WLAN, so onty the LAN extension is used?

Would be a "hide the SSID Broadcast" help? If so why?

Could it be that the signal strength of the extender disturbs the other WLAN signal?

Hopefully someone can help me, with this issue.

Cheers, Thomas

Hi,

Are the other devices connected to the Range Extender as well?

Usually adding an RE will not affect the connection of backend devices on other devices.

When it works in RE mode, you cannot disable its WIFI. If you do not want to use it, you can choose to hide its SSID.
