Hey TP-LINK !!

 

Why 2.4 GHz is always slow for me? When i do Optimization from Deco App so the App said everything is fine and there is no congestion but 2.4 GHz is working too much slow for me. I tried to reboot my Deco System, Turned OFF Mesh Technology, UPNP, SIP ALG, Fast Roaming and Beamforming but nothing changed on 2.4 GHz but there is no speed problem on 5 GHz WiFi. Why Optimization option is useless in Deco App. Please fix it by providing me beta firmware for my Deco Mesh System.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

May I confirm some information to understand your situation better? Then we may confirm whether the 2.4GHz speed is normal and provide further suggestions.

1. What is your network topology and what is the speed provided by your ISP?

2. Did you only use 2.4GHz band of the Deco network and connect all your wireless devices to it?

If you only turn on 2.4Ghz band for the main network and connect a wireless PC/phone to the main Deco, and using www.speedtest.net to test the speed, what are the results？

And please also check and share the link speed following this guide.

  @Marvin_S No i'm using both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz but sometime my phone is not shift to 5 GHz and remain connected on 2.4 GHz WiFi until im not going to Turn WiFi OFF / ON on phone. Screenshot which i shared above is from Main Deco. My topoly is that Main Deco is wired connected and other 2 are wirelessly connected from Main Deco. My speed on 2.4 GHz is always slow on all devices.

If you feel slow speed on device clients when connecting to 2.4GHz wifi band of Deco network, it is suggested to share the screenshot of speed result and link speed. And what device is it and which Deco it connect to?

  @Marvin_S My phone is connected on Main Deco on 2.4 GHz band but sometime im getting full speed with high latency and sometime im getting slow speed. Why my Deco is not self healing itself? Everytime i have to reboot my Deco units or use Deco App for Optimization and sometime Optimization said current wifi channel is great.
