Hi all

Hoping you can help. I brought this device to increase my wireless range. I have a TD-W8961ND router, which I thought would make this the ideal WAP for me.

I have set it up okay, in Range Extender mode, using the same password as my main router.

I can ping the device from my main network, and can access the network/internet from a wired connection to the WAP. But, if I connect wirelessly to the WAP, I can't get to the Internet, and can still ping the WAP.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks

Tom.

i see that behavior on a TL device when using WEP security, if that is your case change security on TD-W8961ND to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK

Tom, sad to tell you, 750 and 850 give a lot of issues, on post #1 i see you have latest FW (firmware) 130628 even if you have done it, download it again and reload FW, has worked sometimes, if no avail, try Range Extender 2, your main router has to have WDS function, the only difference between these two modes is that
Range Extender mode 1 has WDS disabled while Range Extender mode 2 has WDS enabled.
Still no avail, get your RMA.
If you are very Techy read here, at your own risk https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=46859 for what I read 750 and 850 use same build, now read here http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=146419

I'm having real issues with my 750. It connects to my router OK but then doesn't pass on the IP addresses to the devices that are connected to the extender.
