Firmware Version : 0.6.0 2.8 v000c.0 Build 130828 Rel.38099n

I still can't set MTU to 1500 for PPPOA. I upgraded firmware to latest version. Some web sites seem to have issues, like speedtest.net upload. Speed seems slow.

1500 is for Ethernet not ATM. Try the following it may get better: in the command window type "ping -f -l MTU www.google.com",try to find the right MTU of your Internet, and then go the the router to set it as the value +28,for example, you got 1450 from pinging in the command window, just set 1478 on the modem. It's the best value.

i've had mtu issues with previous tp-link modem in the past. i'd rather just set it to the normal amount. with pppoa 1500 mtu is normal. with pppoe 1492 is pretty common when going over 1500 mtu ethernet. but usually ethernet seraivces are eenabled for baby jumbo frames, and can do 1500 mtu. (so ethernet mtu is increased to something like 1600 rather than 9000.

ime quite a few udp things don't work well with smaller mtu's as they make assumptions and mss-clamping won't work, so they don't know how big the mtu is.

hah i was thinking it was strange, it works at -l 1472 but not higher atm. but i swapped back to tp-link 8960. (so i'm on 1500 mtu end to end)
