Hi,

I recently got my first TP-Link router, the TL-WDR4900. One of the first things I noticed was the bad LAN throughput. I get around 50 MB/s via Windows Share (CIFS) using CAT-7e. By using a cheap SOHO ZyXEL-Switch I max out the performance with around 120 MB/s.

My old Netgear router performed much better: like the switch, not decreasing the speed at all.

All other protocols I've tested (like FTP or SFTP/SSH) are throttled too.

WAN to LAN throughput is not affected, as I get the full 100 Mbit/s, so I do not think there is a lack of performance.

Any ideas?

For all connections, Cat-7 cables are used. No wireless devices at all.
