Hey all

First I want to thank you already for considering my request.
I searched the forum and did not find any reply to my question so I post a new thread. If an idetical or similar thread already exists please post me the link.

I have two WA801ND I want to connect them to my router. So far so good. But I want to use them to have only one wifi network in my house showing just 1 Wifi network and roaming seemlessly on both AP.

What I already did is:
configuered AP 1 as AP with IP 192.168.1.251 and SSID "BaBa"
[*]configuered AP 2 as AP with IP 192.168.1.252 and SSID "BaBa"
[*]Subnet Mask on both ap set to 255.255.255.0 and DHCP disabled
[*]router ip is 192.168.1.1 with DHCP enabled and IP range 192.168.1.30 to 192.168.1.200

I found some guides on internet which use the DD-WRT, but first that's to complicated for me and second there is no version of DD-WRT for TL-WA801ND V2
Is the configuration above OK for working as only one Wifi?

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards
baba

Yes there is here http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=140015&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=90 read flint87 post, read it as info. your needs have been accomplished on AP mode atheros chip has no issues
Curiosity, I don't understand 2 things on your Thread
1-why are you surfing DD-WRT for guides, you are in stock FW.
2-are you Sharing your settings, or you needed a confirmation, Kick-Ass has confirmed.

Thank you for that hint and link. I will certainly go through it.

Before I post here in the forum I searched on the web for threads for my query and I found a post explaining how to proceed to have 2 AP showing as only one. There it was written how to proceed with DD-WRT and what to take care of. But by surfing all the things to take care of I found it to complicated for me as a noob to go on with DD-WRT, especially as there was no version directly posted in the database. And also here in the forum I read some posts for using DD-WRT also for the TL-WA901ND (as I also have two of them but V3)

Yes I shared my configuration to get a confirmation by a specialist ;) to run my 2 AP showing as only one.

I will certainly go through it.

let me remind you the name of your Thread 2AP showing as only one
With DD-WRT and Atheros chip, you wont be able to repeat same SSID, you will create a Repeater Bridge, resulting in 2 SSIDs in your network, read this
[NOTE] - You CAN try using the same SSID but it usually will not work properly. Many have had random disconnects and/or no connection if the SSID's are the same. read it yourself here http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge Setup
Follow the instructions above from Broadcom except: 6.
