Cant get USB share to work except with admin/admin account

It seems I can only access a network share via the default admin account with password admin. If I setup another user it gives me an authentication error, it wont even work if I change the password on the admin account so basically anyone who I let on my wifi network could access the share if they knew what the factory default was on this router.
I'm using windows 7.
