WR702N - How to use it as a repeater

Hi I've just bought a brand new WR702N router and followed the step by step instructions to set it up as a repeater. The problem is that it does not work as a repeater unless I connect it to my computer with Ethernet port and configure IPV4 settings but then I can't access internet on my computer, don't know why :(
I want to place the TP Link router in the stairways and let it extend my Superhub's wifi from downstairs to upstairs in my bedroom. How do I do this?
