Region : Romania
Model : TL-WR1042ND
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 3.14.2 Build 130628 Rel.37450n
ISP :
Firmware Version:3.14.2 Build 130628 Rel.37450n
Hardware Version: WR842ND v2 00000000
From time to time I am not able to view certain webside.
Here is an example for gmail pop3 serer:
pinging from PC using domain server name
ping -t pop.gmail.com
Ping request could not find host pop.gmail.com. Please check the name and try again.
pinging from PC using IP
ping -t 173.194.70.109
Pinging 173.194.70.109 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 173.194.70.109: bytes=32 time=34ms TTL=48
Pinging from router using domain server name:
Pinging pop.gmail.com [173.194.70.109] with 64 bytes of data:
Reply from 173.194.70.109: bytes=64 time=33 TTL=49 seq=1
It is clear that sometime the DNS is not recognized.
What could be the problem? It is a hardware issue? Could be the internet provider fault?
