TL-WRD1043ND Wireless problem
TL-WRD1043ND Wireless problem

Region : Netherlands

Model : TL-WR1043ND

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 3.13.13 Build 130428 Rel.58290n

ISP : Tele2

My wireless router keeps dropping its wireless connection and its now to a point where i am getting frustrated.

With Wifi analyzer on my tablet i saw that channel 1 and 6 where overly in use so I changed my channel to 13 This seemed to work but again the connection dropped. After googling the issue i made the following changes:

Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1492 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)

Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:
Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 50
Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2304

Sadly again my wireless connection dropped :(
On some occasions it takes 5! reboots before i get a connection back.

What more can i do?? I do like this router and its fairly new so i am not in the mood for a new router.

There about 15 to 20 wireless devices i find with wifi analyzer, mos of them on 1 or 6 or in between and 1 or 2 on 10 or close.
WIFI on my ISP Modem and on my media player is disabled. The only device that is constantly on wireless is my Printer (HP Photosmart 5520). (and a few phones and a tablet)

I hope someone has some advice....

You have a lot of interferences from other networks in your neighborhood. I don't know your internet speed but you can try 20MHz - width channel.

That´s one of the reasons i haven´t bought a different Router. I live in an appartment and its really close to a street full with bars and restaurants so there
is a lot of wireless network.

My Internet speed is 50Mb line and this is current number:

It's probably better to use a 5GHz router...

So:
http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC66U/

may be the solution?
(the reason i mention the ASUS is because it gets very good reviews.)
