Loses connection to TL-WR940N over Wi-FI and LAN

My laptop loses connection every couple of hours to the TP-Link router TL-WR940N. This happens over Wi-Fi or when connecting directly to the router over LAN cable. Other devices, like my Android smartphone and an iPad, work normally with no issues.
I have repeater setup as well and i was under impression that an interference between the router and the repeater could be the root cause of the issue but it seems not as it happens over the LAN cable as i mentioned.
My Laptop configured to obtain the IP address and DNS automatically from the router which has DHCP enabled.
Any idea?
