The DNS Server isn't responding

I connected my USB internet dongle to TP Link Wifi router. The setup was made as per the instructions. But I am not able to connect to wifi internet. I did a troubleshoot and found the following warning: The DNS Server isn't responding. However when I connect the USB directly to my laptop I get connected to the internet without any issue. I am not able to share the usb internet over the wifi router. Please help. Joe
