MR-3420 v 1.2 & V2.3 ZTE 820D

Hardware Version : V2
Firmware Version : 2.3
ISP : Telenor
Tried MR-3420 v 1.2 (SW 21123) with ZTE 820D and ZTE-MF820_vid(19d2)_pid(0166)_file(1).bin file.
Worked fine, however 'only' 3G
Brought MR-3420 v 2.3 with standard SW AND - 140403 SW upgrade with ZTE-MF820_vid(19d2)_pid(0166)_file(1).bin file.
Modem connects to network, but new router does not communicate with modem (no matter sw version) ??
How come NEW router does not communicate with same ZTE modem which works on OLD HW ?
Any suggestions ?
